AVSS focuses on underlying theory, methods, systems, and applications of surveillance and invites submissions in areas listed below, especially cross-disciplinary and game-changing ones. AVSS is the premier annual international conference in the field of video and signal-based surveillance that brings together experts from academia, industry, and government to advance theories, methods, systems, and applications related to surveillance. AVSS is sponsored by the IEEE and two societies, the IEEE Signal Processing Society (IVMSP TC) and the IEEE Computer Society (PAMI TC). There is a main conference as well as multiple associated workshops.
The 23rd International Conference on Digital Signal Processing (DSP 2018), the original conference in the area of DSP will be held in Shanghai, China. DSP 2018 had its genesis in London in 1968 and continued over the years to Florence, Nicosia, Lemessos, Santorini, Cardiff, Corfu, Hong Kong, Singapore, Beijing and London. In 2018 delegates will be brought right up to date in Shanghai, the most populous city proper in the world, with a population of more than 24 million as of 2014. The conference will contain special sessions, regular lecture and poster sessions, together with plenary sessions delivered by eminent scientists.
The flagship conference of the European Association for Signal Processing (EURASIP) will offer a comprehensive technical program addressing all the latest developments in research and technology for signal processing and its applications. It will feature world-class speakers, oral and poster sessions, keynotes and plenaries, exhibitions, demonstrations, tutorials, demo and ongoing work sessions and satellite workshops, and is expected to attract many leading researchers and industry figures from all over the world.
The ACM Recommender Systems conference (RecSys) is the premier international forum for the presentation of new research results, systems and techniques in the broad field of recommender systems. Recommendation is a particular form of information filtering, that exploits past behaviors and user similarities to generate a list of information items that is personally tailored to an end-user’s preferences.
RecSys 2018 will bring together researchers and practitioners from academia and industry to present their latest results and identify new trends and challenges in providing recommendation components in a range of innovative application contexts. In addition to the main technical track, RecSys 2018 program will feature keynote and invited talks, tutorials covering state-of-the-art in this domain, a workshop program, an industrial track and a doctoral symposium.
ESOMAR Congress is the biggest event in the industry – it’s a festival, a celebration, an innovation hotspot for the data, research and insights profession – it drives forward-thinking.
The International Society for Music Information Retrieval (ISMIR) is an international forum for research on the organization of music-related data.
The conference at Reeperbahnfestival is designed for professionals active in the music and creative digital industries and features sessions, showcases, networking events, or awards ceremonies. With c/o pop it is the most important music conference in Germany.
DAFX is the International Conference on Digital Audio Effects organized by the Acoustics and Audio Group, and will feature oral and poster presentations of accepted papers, keynote addresses, workshops, and a social program. All within the following general areas relevant to audio signal processing for music, speech, sound art, acoustics and related applications:
• Capture and analysis
• Representation, transformation and modelling
• Transmission and resynthesis
• Effects and manipulation
• Perception, psychoacoustics and evaluation
• Source separation
• Physical modelling, virtual acoustic and analogue models
• Sound design and composition and sonification
• Hardware and software design
The Conference for entertainment content, music & sync.
Label operators, music managers, festival organisers, media experts and agency chiefs meet top speakers and decision makers from major brands based in Europe, the United States and South America. Keynotes, panel discussions, presentations and workshops deliver practice-relevant knowledge. Current case studies are presented and discussed, with a wealth of networking opportunities to boot. The IEEE International Conference on Multimedia & Expo (ICME) has been the multimedia conference sponsored by four IEEE societies since 2000. It serves as a forum to promote the exchange of the latest advances in multimedia technologies, systems, and applications from both the research and development perspectives of the circuits and systems, communications, computer, and signal processing communities. An exposition of multimedia products, animations and industries will be held in conjunction with the conference. The theme of the 2018 conference will be “Data-driven Media Computing”, which plays a key role in modern multimedia technologies.
ICME 2018 will showcase high quality oral and poster presentations and demonstration sessions. It will also feature IEEE societies sponsored Workshops. We welcome researchers, developers and practitioners to organize Workshops on various new emerging topics. Industrial exhibitions are held in conjunction with the main conference. Proposals for Tutorials , Special Sessions , and Demos are also invited.
The conference will select and recognize one diamond and six platinum awards by following the10K Best paper awards established by the ICME Steering Committee in 2017. Several other awards sponsored by industry and institutions will also be offered. Accepted papers have to be registered and presented; otherwise, they will not be included in the IEEE Xplore Library.
