AVSS focuses on underlying theory, methods, systems, and applications of surveillance and invites submissions in areas listed below, especially cross-disciplinary and game-changing ones. AVSS is the premier annual international conference in the field of video and signal-based surveillance that brings together experts from academia, industry, and government to advance theories, methods, systems, and applications related to surveillance. AVSS is sponsored by the IEEE and two societies, the IEEE Signal Processing Society (IVMSP TC) and the IEEE Computer Society (PAMI TC). There is a main conference as well as multiple associated workshops.
The 23rd International Conference on Digital Signal Processing (DSP 2018), the original conference in the area of DSP will be held in Shanghai, China. DSP 2018 had its genesis in London in 1968 and continued over the years to Florence, Nicosia, Lemessos, Santorini, Cardiff, Corfu, Hong Kong, Singapore, Beijing and London. In 2018 delegates will be brought right up to date in Shanghai, the most populous city proper in the world, with a population of more than 24 million as of 2014. The conference will contain special sessions, regular lecture and poster sessions, together with plenary sessions delivered by eminent scientists.

The IEEE International Conference on Multimedia & Expo (ICME) has been the multimedia conference sponsored by four IEEE societies since 2000. It serves as a forum to promote the exchange of the latest advances in multimedia technologies, systems, and applications from both the research and development perspectives of the circuits and systems, communications, computer, and signal processing communities. An exposition of multimedia products, animations and industries will be held in conjunction with the conference. The theme of the 2018 conference will be “Data-driven Media Computing”, which plays a key role in modern multimedia technologies.
ICME 2018 will showcase high quality oral and poster presentations and demonstration sessions. It will also feature IEEE societies sponsored Workshops. We welcome researchers, developers and practitioners to organize Workshops on various new emerging topics. Industrial exhibitions are held in conjunction with the main conference. Proposals for Tutorials , Special Sessions , and Demos are also invited.
The conference will select and recognize one diamond and six platinum awards by following the10K Best paper awards established by the ICME Steering Committee in 2017. Several other awards sponsored by industry and institutions will also be offered. Accepted papers have to be registered and presented; otherwise, they will not be included in the IEEE Xplore Library.
The SMC Conference is a double-blind peer-reviewed international scientific conference around the core interdisciplinary topics of Sound and Music Computing. This year’s theme is ‘Sonic Crossings’. The hosting organisation will be Cyprus University of Technology, Department of Communication and Internet Studies.
NetSoft 2018 will shed light on the key technology components and systems underlying SDN-NFV, clouds-edges and emerging network service infrastructures for the efficient handling of heterogeneous resources across networks and datacenter domains, and the easy and fast deployment of new ICT services.
As the growing need for agility, automation and autonomy, witnessed by various operating-platform initiatives, is creating new challenges and calling for novel solutions, smart networking with embedded AI leveraging NFV and SDN becomes essential.
This evolution will be reflected in the theme of the 2018 edition of NetSoft: “Achieving smart network softwarization”.
Sónar+D is the international conference organized by Sónar that covers the digital transformation of the creative industry to develop and strengthen talent, exchange knowledge and establish business opportunities. It brings together a combination of activities with a common theme: the relationship between creativity and technology, and the digital transformation of the cultural industries involved.
